PHÁT TRIỂN ĐƯỜNG THỦY NỘI ĐỊA VỚI ĐỊNH HƯỚNG NÂNG CAO NĂNG LỰC VẬN TẢI VÀ AN TOÀN GIAO THÔNG

 Abstract - Inland waterway transportation plays an essential role in the operation of Vietnam's economy, which is endowed with two large deltas and more than 3,000 km of coastline. However, over the past 15 years, the economic conditions and the sustainability of these important modes of transportation are facing many difficulties due to insufficient investment to expand, improve and maintain the delivery network. Inland waterway transportation and key locations such as river ports although the country's economy has made rapid development. This reduces the efficiency of water transport (transportation costs and high level of traffic congestion ...), less encouraging shipping companies to invest in purchasing large and modern vessels. The conversion of the mode of transporting goods from road to waterway is economically feasible and operational, which needs to be considered and better solutions in the near future.
